what parts on N/A's were Aluminum or high perf?
what parts on N/A's were Aluminum or high perf?
I just discovered that my 2nd vert has a lightweight hood on it . my 1st does not.
The 2nd has leather and all that stuff so I am thinking it was a package Option.
what else might be on it that I need to swap out that is better?
I looked at the year chart thing but I didnt see anything about a hood or rear end . could have missed it.

There's really no rhyme or reason to why some RX-7's have steel hoods and some have aluminum. There are a few trends, though -
- Most verts have aluminum hoods, they did a LOT to save weight so it wouldn't be applicable for gas guzzler tax.
- Most later TII's have aluminum hoods
- Many early cars (86s) seem to have aluminum hoods.
It's also possible the 'vert with the steel hood had the hood damaged, and it got a steel replacement.
