For example, I know that that the Mazda MX3 uses the ash tray. I got one in my car which I like MUCH better, because it does not have that UGLY orange "PUSH" (sorry, but I hate all that orange). Instead, it is exactly the same, but the "PUSH" is white... really!

I want all that orange out of my car... like that center "orange" security light in my '90. It's not a big deal, but it just looks too dated.

SO, does anyone know of other interior (or even exterior) parts that are interchangable with RX7's? Anything.

don't know about other cars using the same parts......but for the security light, u could prolly pop that out and get another black panel and drill a small hole in it and mount one of the newer little red lights that come with car alarms....just a thought

 

Yeah, i don't like that orange security, but I am currently looking for either a white piece of plactic, or maybe blue to repalce the orange plastic.
But I'm interested in replacing parts. Anyone know of other interchangable parts. I go to wrecking yards a lot and I constantly take parts out of other cars, and check if I could replace them, in my RX7. For example, I'll check to see if I would somehow replace the AC control panel (logicon) with one from another car... ( one that is not orange). I found that the logicon from a 626 fits and looks much nicer, but is not a direct swap. Maybe with some modifications, but I am not that electricly inclined. I'd be nice if Mazda had made all the (interior) orange in the either white so all I'd have to do is change the lights.
This may sound a bit ****, but orange does not match with anything... unless you still have your stock stereo I guess.
