what is a new convertible top boot worth?

I have a blue convertible top boot on ebay, and am wondering if my reserve is too high.

I also have a passenger door panel on ebay. i know that is worth $$$ to the right person, it is just finding the person that needs a door panel.

both items are in the original factory packages.

any ideas on how much they should change hands for is appreciated.

I've seen em go as high as 350 in the past... i think that might have been for a brand new black one though.

seen them go for as low as 220 also... not that i need one, mines perfect

$70

I found one for $70... is was gone before I could reply by email.

The jerk, who sold my black 91 to the gal I bought the car from, kept the boot cover and was going to sell it on ebay.

I payed $250 for something which should have come with the car.

Where are all the boots? the targa bags, the targa top
plastic plugs/covers?

I will sell my blue 89 without boot, unless you want to sell me yours for $70....

Realistically $175-250...300 at MAX, and that's on the high side, IMO.

So my reserve of $185 for a brand new boot cover in the unopened bag is realistic?

I have a reserve of $234 for the passenger door panel which is unopened in the original packaging. Think it will sell?

By the way, the guy that bought my car got a cover. It just had a little nick in it. i wouldnt accept it, and bugged the dealer until they gave me a new one! Which i was afraid to use so I used the nicked one for 12 years.

Yes, the boot cover price is realistic. I wouldnt take less than $200 if it were in new condition.

THe door panel...uh...for one panel? I really doubt that...Im gonna say $50-100 at best. Keep in mind it'll be mismatched...people always buy doorpanels in sets. Even if it is the same style as theirs, it'll still not quite match because their other one is faded/worn a little, which is why people always buy them in sets, in my experience.

The blue covers are not as sought after as the black one's. 175 - 200 dollars is about right for a blue cover in new (good) shape.

thats why i never took it out of the box. the car was delivered with a tiny mark on the door panel in the corner by the air vent. i filled it in instead of going through the hassle of changing it. i was superstitious that i would get the car perfect, then get hit in the passenger door.

it sat in the box for the last 12 years, it can sit some more.

didnt the white and blue convertibles come with blue interiors, and the red and black with grey/black interiors? i have to find my brochure and check.

As with any leather or similar product, it shrinks and expands both with temperature and use. Anytime you havent used it in a while, or it is cold, it will be very small. Anytime it has just been on the car, or is hot, it will expand.

i read somewhere that if you are changing the upholstery on a seat, you should run a blow dryer over the material for a while then attatch it. this way the material shrinks on the foam of the seat, and there are no ripples.
