What needed to install warlbro

hi i found a walbro 255 for 50 bucks but its a universal app. What all is needed t install it in a 87 t2?? Do I just need the pump or is there something special for the wiring like a harness or adapter?? Is it worth it to buy one from a rotary specific shope like corksport or something?? Thanks

You don't need to buy one from a rotary specific shop. There are a gazillion threads. Search for walbro re-wire. You'll need a part from radio shack for like 3 bucks, and the ehat sink from the front of the engine bay. You'll need a length of wires. Bah, it's been a while since I did mine. I forgot.

EDIT:

There are two issues here.

Splicing in the pump wires only requires getting the +/- polarity right, solder & heat shrink.

Getting full voltage and current to run the pump (mentioned above) is the other issue.
