Arrow What motor mounts do you use?

I've done a lot of looking around for the best over all mount for a high HP application lets say 5-6 hundred and I cant seam to find any good info from the FC guys out there, everything is from the FDs. I wanted to get some opinions on what you guys have used, are using or are going to be using for your FCs

Here's what I'm looking for::: The longevity of the mount, vibration transmitted into the cabin, shift response and the material its made of.

Right now I'm running the Banzai Racing Polyurethane but I also have sitting at my house a brand new set of Rotorsports Racing mounts and I don't know if it would be worth putting them in and giving them a shot. I have also been thinking HIGHLY about going with solid aluminum mounts.

Let the opinions fly...........

I have the mmr tranny and engine mounts installed.

The car does have minor vibration transferred through the chassis, but nothing major. Its slightly less vibration then when I had solid aluminum engine mounts and stock tranny mounts.

I found fast 1-2 shifts were MUCH easier and precise after the tranny mount change though. No slop. No engine movement.

I was running 350ish at that point in time.

The thing I love about the MMR is the price. I have to say that I found a guy on eBay that has solid aluminum motor and trans mounts as a set for 75.00 shipped and I thought that was a great price.

I would love to hear some feed back on the Rotorspots Racing poly mounts if anybody has used them.

check out the mazdatrix.com derlin bushings. Had the motor, trans, and diff on these and everything felt like glass. Just hope you don't mind a noisy cabin.

I've got the Banzai-Racing motor and tranny mounts and I love em. They're ploy-pro motor mounts and no where near as harsh as the aluminum. The price is reasonable and they're too easy to install. Check em out.

Himni racing motor mounts and tranny mounts , the amount of vibration transmitted into the cabin is quite noticable but i wouldnt change the setup that im running right now. It feels super solid ! & now my car shakes like a baby muscle car when its warming up !

Honestly here's what happened and why I'm gathering opinions..... Like I said up top I'm running the Banzai Racing mounts right now and truthfully I don't have any problems with them BUT due to my unfortunate luck with this car I have managed to burn / melt the mount on the passenger side. It melted due to some odd turbulence pulling the flames from my dump tube off the wastegate back into the engine bay. Go figure right?! Anyway so I'm back in the market for new mounts and I was doing some research on what ones are the best (obviously personal preference) and came to realize that the Banzai ones are substantially more than some of the other ones. PLUS I already have a brand new set of Rotorsport Racing mounts and I wanted to know if I should used the ones I have or reorder another Banzai one or go with something else entirely. And just as an FYI the turbulence issue is no longer an issue so that's not a factor of what mount I go with now.

So please keep the good opinions coming. And if anybody has any experience with the Rotorsport Racing mounts please chime in. ANY info would be great!

Thanks.

Ditto. There is next to no engine movement, but it really doesn't transfer much vibration. You can get them from www.mazdatrix.com

I use the mazda comp. mounts too, very little engine movement and vibration.

Get them at Racing Beat instead of mazdatrix, they're cheaper.

I have the Mazda Competion mounts. They do seem to be a little stiffer and you can notice it a little bit.

But they are nothing compared to some of the mounts out there. As for price, the cheapest is directly from www.mazdamotorsports.com if you are a member.
