What models had a manual rack??
I am looking for a manual steering rack for my FC, I dont feel like just removing my pump and rigging the power one, I like to do things right, nice and clean. Anyway, was manual steering available on all models, or just on bases and GTU?

Manual Rack and Pinion
I'm not sure about the models, but I just got finished with this on the wife's RX7. Make sure that you look for a new A/C compressor mount from a manual rack and pinion car if you have or plan to keep your A/C. The power steering pump mounts to a combination bracket with the A/C compressor. It looks REAL ugly once the pump is removed. I found my rack and pinion on eBay for $78 plus $14 shipping. Taking out the power stuff was the hardest part.

Standard with manual rack was the 86-87 Base, 86-87 Luxury coupe, 86 sport, 87-88 T2.
However there was optional power steering for the 87-88 T2, so only about 50% didn't have power steering.
