Question What models come with 4 piston calipers???

I just bought a 88 vert that has 4 piston front calipers, is this stock or did someone upgrade them????

Probably stock, those things are so heavy, you'd need bigger brakes to slow 'em down. But I know that GXL and TIIs came with 4 piston calipers standard.

yep, i think all the converts have 4piston brakes. my 91 n/a has them but doesnt have aas or leather...i guess i got a strange 91' car

OK, thanks for the info guys, I don`t mind the car being a little heavier than a regular model, as a matter of fact it ca'nt be that much heavier, think of all the weight I don`t have from the back glass, hatch, back seats, etc. Plus it is easier to add a few horses to offset the weight than it is to enjoy the open sky with a steel roof overhead.

Dude, that car weighs about 300 lbs heavier than a TII. But, I wouldn't let it bother me either. Nothing makes you feel faster than an open cabin! Enjoy the 'vert!
