What might this be?

There's a lot of blue smoke coming from my exhaust and the car starts tight up and stays running, seems to drive ok, but it idles very poorly. What might the problem be?

That's what I thought but I didn't know from where. I'm very familiar with cylinder cars but not too comfortable with rotaries.

Well rotary engines do normaly burn oil but not enough to create smoke, maybe your oil injection system is malfunctionning? Worse case scenarios is one of your seals is blown or one of the oil passages is damaged.

Is it smoking only at startup? Thats normal.

blue smoke indicates oil... white is coolant ... could be normal
