there is a covered area in the FAQ (sticky) and it gives you a link to a site with alot of info on what to look for, print that out and bring it with you and go down the checklist. Ask someone else with a 10th AE what theirs often has problmes with and some things specific to that car are. i'm sure it was just an all standard option TII with some fancy visual accesories and maybe a few mechanical mods. I'm no 10thAE expert though but look under "What to look for when buying a turbo Rx7" in the FAQ sticky. I'm not asking yo uto bug a mod but Icemark is a really nice guy (mod for this site) and he has a 10th AE and maybe he'll help you out a little bit with what you need so long as you don't waste his time. Ask him if there's anything 10AE exclusive you should look for other than just any ol TII setup.

To my knoweledge the 10th AEs had:
-Bronzish slight window tinting
-The crystal white monochromatic paint scheme including tails and wheels
-Alot of specified badging on fenders I think hood (or rear) and in the middle of thesteering wheel
- All options such as sunroof, power everything (windows, locks, steering, mirrors
- black leather seating

Look for those specialties to make sure it isn't a 10th AE clone and make sure the car still has it to hold value. If anthing on it has been replaced, ask if the owne has the origional part and it should ba a good buy. I hope I helped.

I bought this car the other day, its alright, it needs some work but, its a blast to drive.
I was having a problem last night where it wouldnt idle and was backfiring like CRAZY, so, I ended up having to park it as I couldnt get it started. Ive decided to rebuild or replace this engine and start fresh right away.

Im looking for places in Calgary that can help with this, its going into RX7 Specialties pretty quick to see what they can do for it.

look to see how the engines pulls at low and high rpms. See if it hesitates during the rpm range.

Don't take the car to RX-7 Specialties. Do a search in the Canadian Forum for them if you want to know why.

The backfiring is likely due to the emissions removal and upgraded fuel pump. I don't see upgraded injector or a way to control them on that list of mods, so I would be quite worried about where the A/F ratios are at under boost. If you're serious about the car you should look at things with a wideband before going any further.

And don't take it to RX-7 Specialties.
