what kind of motor oil do you use ?

hey guy i recently got my fc ad im about to do her first oil change.
i have a '89 GTU 180,000 miles, what kinda of oil and oil do you guys recommend ?

Castrol High millage
Vavoline
Fram filter....
OEMfilter
etc

im mostly confused about the thickness of the oil 10-40 or 10-30 or 5-20

any ideas of knowlegde about which type of oil thickness is need im heading into the winter season too

This has been covered about 6 millions times.

As it states in the owners manual, factory service manual, Haynes, FAQ, etc. etc., 10-30 for the winter, 20-50 for the summer.

Oil brand is a personal preference. I personally buy whatever is on sale. Many people on this forum only use Castrol GTX. Any of the major brands will do the job. There is no magic voodoo in oil. Synthetic is fine, though not necessary.
