what kind of hood?

I want a reverse cowl hood just like the one pictured. I can't seem to find them anywhere and I'd rather not buy a hood and cut it and all... any help would be awesome... thanks

The pic is from an FC shot in Japan.
It is most likely a Japan item.
DO YOU HAVE $2,000 FOR SUCH AN ITEM???

that is of course before you pay the shipping and importing fees. I made hoods very similar to that last year. I think I sold three of them.

Kevlar,

Where did you find that? And what is that ridge on the scoop?

That leading ridge is used to deflect arflow upwards.
This causes a low pressure area right behind it, and it's this low pressure area that "pulls" airflow from underneath.

hehe, then the engine will get wet

But seriously, there will be a mesh cover to prevent things like animals, birds and small children from falling in.

cafcwest: We've completed the mold phase and are now in production.
