What kind of exhaust system came on the 10th AE?

I noticed when I purchased my vehicle that there was only one exhaust pipe. Didn't really register until recently, when I was under the car, that it might not be stock. It seems to be a 2.5 or 3" exhaust, single pipe, from the cat back. Is this the exhaust system that came with the 10th AE? Or is it after-market?

And if it's after-market, is it something to be worried about? I vaguely recall hearing about adding an exhaust system without adding something else (FCD maybe?) being a bad thing, but I can't seem to recall where I read it.

It's aftermarket (all FCs came with dual exhaust), and you've gotta make sure it's got a return line that's hooked back up to the header so that the 5th and 6th ports open.

^^^^Only 4 Ports on the turbo motors. It is recommended with an aftermerket exhaust to install a Fuel Cut Defender and port the wastegate of the turbo. If you post a pic of it, we may be able to tell you what brand exhaust it is

always add a FCD (fuel cut defender) when upgrading the exhaust to a more non restrictive one. It will save you headaches and money lol

the split air pipe is used for emissions on the turbo cars but there are only two larger secondary ports, as opposed to two smaller secondaries and two smaller auxiliaries.

As requested!

I don't suppose anyone found a 10mm socket on the ground in any of those pictures? Dropped it into the engine bay while removing the fender, and now I can't find it anywhere.

Thats definitely a home made straight pipe. It might sound alright due the the stock cat and down pipe being there but trust me a full 3'' turbo back straight pipe sounds horrible. I had one for like a week before I had a muff welded on the end.
