I have 16" and wish I would have got 17"
I running 205/45/16 tires and it made the wheel well gap a little bigger. I guess I can drop the car a little. Looks not so good, Performance of the low profile tire is great though..

17x7 front 40mm offset with 235/40/17 and 18x8 rear 35mm offset with 265/35/18 . Fills wheel wells perfectly and puts side wall of tires almost flush with body front and rear instead of rears being sucked inside wheel well. Sorry no pics right now.

Nice! No rubbing? Are you using aftermarket shock/spring? PM me when you get pics!

My tires are 215/45r17 front, 235/45r17 rear.

They're a nice fit, and aren't a particularly rough ride. Basically, a good middle-of-the-road set-up. I suggest a similar set-up for a daily driver, especially n/a.

Thats just what I have, except 87 turbo wheels. My tires aren't as close to the struts, though.

+1

I'm running stock sized 16x7 + 40 gun metal wheels on my car. Tire size is 225/50/16

Here's a few pics:

Disregard the damage... it was taken after the hit and run, but it shows the fitment. My car is dropped with eibach pro-kit springs.

I just ordered my rims and tires i'm doing 18x8.5 in the front and 18x9.5 in the rear. The rims are made by sport max racing. they kinda look like the 95 mazdaspeeds with out the rivits.

Whatever you go with, get the lightest rim you can possibly afford in that size - especially if you're NA. Increased rotational mass will always drag down rwhp, and it's particularly noticeable with the relatively torqueless na. I've found I notice even a couple pounds difference in the weight of the wheel-tire package in terms of responsiveness and acceleration, which I found when I went from crappola 205/55/16 Eagle RSAs to wider, 225/50/16 (virtually same circumference) Pirellis that actually weigh less per tire.. On the street, I run 225/50-16 PZero-Neros on 16x7" Enkei's - a discontinued style, but I've attached pics anyway. They only weigh about 16.5 lbs, which is pretty good in a 16x7, many are over 20lbs a wheel, although if you're willing to spend $229+shipping, Tirerack has sweet 16x7 Wedsports on clearance, that don't even weigh 13lb, or 18x7.5's that are 17.4lb, at $299 - excellent quality wheels. http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...All&sort=Brand

I've uploaded a couple of pics. The first couple, in the back alley, are from before the car was lowered (about 1"), the last shows it lowered - even the 16x7s fill it out pretty nicely, a lot of people comment on the rims working well with this car.

Same wheels here, but 245f/275r... I'm not expecting the fronts to fit, but we shall see. $300 for rims and tires with 90% left, I couldn't pass it up.

They might fit, depends on the tire sidewall and your suspension, and of course the fenders HAVE to be rolled.

I bought the wheels for $50 from an ex co-worker (mint) and the tires were $80. Toyo Proxes in front, Michelin Pilot out back.
