What hybrid turbo is this?

Okay so I picked this guy up pretty cheap except she has very minimal in and out play. Turbonetics t04b v trim hybrid. Yes I know this is bad and could kill my car so I have a couple of questions but pics first...

I got confused when comparing the exhaust turbine with that of my stock s5. t04b on the left

I think it's clipped, but are the center sections of the turbine supposed to be so different? i.e. the t04b being so much bigger?

I'm interested in rebuilding her but I wan't to know if the in and out play will be fixed if I swap the chra with the s5 (no play) one or if that won't make a difference?

Option 2 is a get a rebuild kit from gpop shop, but yeah any help or information is appreciated. thanks fellas...

Take the exhaust housing off and measure the inducer/exducer of the turbine. It's hard to tell without measurements and a closer look. I noticed mine was a weird style also.

The left one is the one that came with the hybrid. It suffered some casualties, as well as the stocker on the right. I had some bad times with rebuilding turbos, that turned out to be partially my fault for not using thread locker at first, but after 3 more attempts, it was my balancing shop that was boning me.

I still don't know what kind of turbine that was...

Yeah I remember seeing your thread and all those chewed up wheels. Sorry bro! Such a bummer! Luckily she's gonna be temporary until I have enough money to pull the trigger on a whole new manifold, turbo, waste gate and downpipe.
