what grounds should i have checking on an engine install

alright, im getting ready to drop my engine into my 87t2 and i also have to put the engine bay harness back in. since i just painted the engine bay, i was basically wondering what mechanical and electrical components need a clean metal to metal connection. i simply want to make sure that all of connections are clean and dont need a third check. for instance: i know that i need to check the firewall-tranny ground. so should i strip the areas of connection coverage? or is the bolt thread going to be enought contact to make the ground?

thanks for all your help, been making alot of threads and everyone has been very helpful

That's the least important one...

All the engine bay ground points are covered in Aarons grounding write-up, but have a look around the engine bay and use common sense. Ground points are pretty obvious.

Yes you should.
