What fluid is best for LSD???

I just got a LSD that im swaping in the near future but i want to change the fluid before i put it in. What fluid will give me the most protection? I was thinkin Royal Purpal, any thing out there thats better? Oh yeah this is an S4 clutch type LSD if that makes any difference. Im gona be launching the car not a lot but some, and using it to auto-x as well.

-Thanks, Andrew

Redline has one, I've used that. I've also used GMC differential additive before too with the same results. There's lots of kinds, just order it with the redline fluid if you can, or go to a GMC dealership, or Ford dealership, whatever.

How much additive did you add? My differential chatters with the Shockproof fluid, even with the additive.

Mine chattered with the shockproof until I bought some GM differential additive. I put in one bottle (it was small like 3 or 4oz. I think) and all the chattering went away.

I put redline in my LSD (88 GTU) and I didn't even notice any chatter without the additive. Then again, I have an ACT 4 puck clutch and so there's plenty of chatter to go around.

If the chattering started after you changed the fluid, then drop in some of the GM additive. No cheap **** from Autozone. Go to a real GM dealer.

If it was doing it even before, it may indicate the LSD is going out. Do a burnout and see.
