What Exhuast Setup to Run?

Ok, I just passed smog on my car, so now its time to pull out the cats and make myself a real system. I've got a bit of money that I saved for this, so what would you guys recommend I run all the way from the turbo to the tailpipe. I'm looking for a system that adds alot of flow, but isn't too high on noise (I don't wanna get in too much trouble). I was thinking maybe a 2.5-3" DP and Midpipe with maybe an N1 cat back system with a bonez highflow cat (if I do go with a cat at all). And if i don't go with a cat, what kind of silencer/pre-silencer deal would i need? Any suggestions for a really good setup? cause I have never done an exhuast sytem before.

the N1 is loud! but it would be quiter with a cat. if you want the best exhaust for proformance and noise. it's the racing beat full exhaust. it's not to loud but sounds sweet, and probably out flows the rest at the same time

What, cause you own it? Um the N1 is loud as a single but fairly quiet for a double. Just get the RB downpipe/midpipe w/ presilencer along with a N1 double with two presilencers. There not to loud and plenty of performance.

Is the N1 dual a true dual, or is it just a y-pipe split?

You also have the option to go to a shop and have a collector made from your header and use mazda comp muffler with a bit of pipe welded as a tip and a glass pack if you want using 2.5 or 3" piping. I had mine built without the glasspack, including the collector but not including MC muffler price for around 220. This is a single output setup, and Id ont know how it compares to other brands as far as sound.

My setup is working great for me and isn't that LOUD. I got a 3 inch Tanabe Stainless Steel Downpipe, to a 3" Pipe which then splits into a 3" Y and then to two 3" OBX Racing Canister Style mufflers. No cats or presilencers whatsoever. The key is the mufflers, the bigger the canisters on them, the quieter they are. I'd advised you to go with a DUAL muffler setup, as its definitely quieter. A lot of muffler shops can also build you a pretty decent 3" DP for pretty cheap.
