a sr20det shouldn't have even been close unless he didn't have a lsd.

stock they were 200hp. Add the fact you need a dp/intake/(prolly an ic) and up the boost your looking at 250hp easy and in a lighter car.

Maybe his install was bad but should be any easy 13.5 second car.

that's what mine had and it halled *****...........

V-8 Stang - NO, you lost
Eclipse GSX - Nope, lost again... the 1st gens run a low 15 stock, and the 2nd gens run a high 14 stock
Nissan *240sx?* - maybe, depends on the year, the late 80's ones ran mid 16's and the mid 90's ones ran low 16's, so it depends
Mid-early 90's Honda Civic - Early 90's you should beat if you are a decent driver since the early 90's ones run low 17's stock... But mid 90's runs around a mid to slightly high 16 stock so it might be close
Rx-8 - Are you kidding? These run mid 14's stock, NO
Mid 90's Probe - haha, you'll probably be close, the mid 90's normal probe runs a 16.4 stock, but the probe GT runs a LOW 15 stock so it depends on which it is
Stock WRX - Yes it's turbo, and no you won't win, low 14's stock


This is all based on you running with an n/a "1988 GTU" as your profile says. If this is correct, stock you are running around a mid 16.

The WRX is a "model" you can say of the Impreza, hence its name Impreza WRX... The Impreza WRX are all turbo, but not all Imprezas are turbo. Now they have the WRX STi which are all Turbo as well.


Also, sorry I thought you meant that you'd still be running as an n/a. If you had a stock TII, you are running a low 15, and you can figure out who you'd beat based on the times I listed before.

Ahhh, I got ya. I knew it was an Impreza, but I thought the hood was used for the radiator, not the turbo.... Don't ask me why I thought that.

Any AWD car is going to destroy you at the launch, unless the driver is a complete and total asshat.
If the Impreza has a hood scoop then it's a turbo... assuming it's the newer body style ('02+). Some of the older Imprezas (93-01) had hood scoops too, but none of them came with a turbo. The 2.5RS would be the fastest of them but it's not super quick... 165hp, 166ft/lbs, ~2800lbs

when I had my 87 SE, I use to run up against my bud's 98 Eclipse GS. It was dead even every time, I had a few subs( weight) and some 15x7.5 wheels with 225's that helped on the launch since I had no LSD. Car had 165k miles on it before I sold it. Now I have a TII Vert, before I started tearing it apart ( 20B wOOOT ) it was running with the mid-high 90's musclecars, pretty much beat any other import that wasnt turbocharged.

i beat a couple of cars, like honda's and v-6 mustangs. and a v6 camaro. You should be able to beat the honda. just know that the takeoff for you is very important. oh and if the strip is bigger than two blocks. than even if he beats you on the takeoff you should be able to take the honda.

It wasn't off the line, we started going at like 30mph up to 90, then he started pulling. My engine only has 62000 and I have intake and exhaust, and he doesn't have an lsd, no nm he has a viscous(LOL). It's a nice 240 though, it uses stock i.c., stock everything cept exhaust.

Holy hell you guys are like little ****** kids... oh well... so am i... You never know how good or bad of a driver anyone is so dont talk ****! I raced my stock NA against a B18 crx (runs 13's) and I beat the **** out of him cuz he couldn't shift good and he had a lack of traction (bad tires). I lost to the same thing driven by my best friend because he is a good driver and I run 13's with my car too. I used to walk on all the 350 camaros at school and i started parkin across 3 parkin spaces where the camaro club dudes park up front at high school. Its all in how good of a driver you are. If you got .14 second shifts with almost no second gear scratch hell ya... if you got .6 second shifts with a clutch drop and no traction... dang...
