If you took off the air pump, you can take off the ACV, if you already didn't. You can also remove the EGR valve, but it's a pain on N/As. If you really want to get silly, you can remove all of the solenoids and vacuum lines associated with your emissions system, but don't ask me how. I'm leaving those on my car for later days.
what r u using to open the ports. I am currently seeking some of the same info as you, i am going to port the intake soon and put pineapple sleeves in, i am currently seeking the best method of actuation or wiring open for the 5 & 6 ports. i would also like to remove all of the unneccesary vacuum lines.
hey bro im using for the time being soldering wire which surprisingly enough hasnt melted YET lol but im goin to use a metel coat hanger or something to that nature....
i heard pineapple sleeves are garbage from a friend in town of mine he put some in his 2nd gen and the system somehow sucked the sleeves in and tore the engine the f#ck up ! well jus informing u thanks

TOday i just wired my ports open by using some basic electrical wiring and stripped off the covering and used just a couple strands of the wire. I was stoked by how much harder the car pulls. I have an 89 and removed the airpump so can i take off the avc? What about the vac, lines running to the intake?
I have an 86 N/A and have hopes of making a really kicking road car...It will still be street legal, but every unnecessary parts will be removed..I ordered the ACV block off plate from K2rd and it will be in Monday...So that means I can remove the air pump..I have already done the electric fan mod...so the fan is gone...I am going to strip the interior and pull up all the carpet and foam..I bet that stuff weighs alot..Power Steering and A/C are gone as well...Well my acuator arms on my Ports push in, unlike the S5 motor where they pull out..I Jb welded them open..I have 2.5" exhaust from the manifold back..soon to be a Racing Beat Header and mid pipe and Corksport Exhaust..Right now I have the Apexi Dunk Muffler..It just doesn't have the right sound I want..I have talked to hypnotiz about rebuilding my motor and porting it for me...Hopefully before the first of the year I can have that done..I have the MSD 6-AL ignition and 8mm Accel wires...I want to know what you guys think about this Idea though...Tommorow I am thinking about stripping the interior out..All the carpet and Foam...I figure it will shave alot of weight..This week I was thinking about Custom Building some aluminum door panels and Console...I wonder how much weight that would save me and if it was worth it..Let me know what you guys think???
I was also wondering what you guys were talking about removing all the Vacumn lines and solenoids for the emission system..I don't think I need that, because I am just running straight pipe, no cats or any emissions stuff like that...If someone can may be explain a little in detail all the unneccessary stuff that can be removed...Please post pics or links that show me how and what to remove..It would be greatly appreciated..LONG LIVE THE RX-7...
