There was a thread about this a few weeks ago. It's a capacitor (actually I cant think of the word used in the FSM) for the oil pressure gauge. Mine broke off too and my oil pressure gauge is dead now. I went aftermarket!

I know what the black box is on the ground I just don't know exactly where the ground plugs into. the capacitor and ground are on the slave cylinder but the other end is disconnected from whatever it was plugged into. does anyone have a pic. Maybe I"ll just drag out the fsm
i think that goes on the starter or comes off the starter. i just remember there is a small ground wire that comes off the bell housing and connects to a slide ground on the fire wall just behind the UIM

The ground screws to the top of the slave cylinder. I think that ground is permanently attached to the wiring harness, but if there is a connector it would be in the wiring harness section going to the transmission & starter I believe.
This is separate from the 18gauge transmission bell housing to firewall ground.

Man why can't you guys search???
Covered countless times.
The condensor (capacitor) is for the oil pressure gauge. It connects to the wiring harness near the oil filter. It is a single yel/red wire.
The oil pressure gauge will not work correctly without it, and if the sender fails with the capacitor not plugged in and grounded; the gauge will have the genie escape.
The condensor normally grounds to the clutch slave mounting bolt of near by on the tranny. This should not be confused with the secondary ground (10 awg wire) for the tranny that runs from the top of the tranny/backside of the engine
