What does this go to?
There is a sensor on the back side of the water pump housing, what does it go to? I want to remove it to put in my sensor for my autometer water temp gauge.

cant look at it on my car right now so i cant tell you for sure but ithink its the temp sending unit that is controlling the regular temp guage. could be wrong though

It's the water thermosensor. It tells the ECU what the water temperature is. You need it. You can always tap a hole for your new sender.
