What do you guys think of this suspension?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...137360173&rd=1

The guy who had it on his car before used it for a year and a half. The owner before him had it on for about the same amount of time, so it's about a 2-3 year old set-up.

What do you guys think? Should I bid? how high should I bid?

never buy used struts, theres no way of telling how much abuse they've had. if you buy them new they have a lifetime warranty that is not transferrable between people or cars.

he says the car that the were on was wrecked so theres no telling if they could be bent.

i say pass.

It'd be a little over $600 for the struts and springs new (KYBs $360 free ship on eBay, RB springs $240 plus ship), so only a 20% discount for 3 year old parts? No thanks. Maybe bid them up, but I wouldn't pay more than $300 for it personally. Some may call that being cheap, but for me it needs to make sense to buy them without the safetynet of a company.

puke..

Anyway, what do you plan to do with them??

I agree that it's really risky to buy something like that off of ebay that you cant tell how soft or how close to shot they are etc..

I wouldn't buy them.

I never had thoughts of going more than $260ish, 300 shipped, myself, but it sounds like even that may be a bad idea.

Anyhow, thanks guys! I appreciate your input, and have decided it's really not that good a deal.

HotRodMex, thanks for suggesting an alternative set-up
