Hey guys,
I've done TB mod, TID mod & complete Spider Vac Rac Removal as well as BAC, ACV, EGR is all in the box.
there is 1 question that i need to ask those who has perform the same thing..

What is that thing in the middle of the LIM with 6mm Coolant line going to it and smaller line come out of it, it got kindda goldish color and the coolant line come from the reservior from the passenger side fire wall. And what do I do with it now???

BTW my car is an 88TII with street port,
and if some body knows..what is the best Timing set up for street port engine??? LEADING, TRAILING??

Resevoir on passenger side firewall?? Sounds like the cold start assist system to me! Ditch it completely, remove the resevoir and coolant line, and plug tha vac hosem ir get rid of the solnoid on the rack altogether.

 

ok, so it's the cold start sistem the very same sistem that i get rid from the UIM when i did my TB mod??
so it's ok to just get rid of them and then Cap off the vac nipple..from that thing @ the LIM right???
and what solenoid that i need to ditch????

" COOLANT ONLY!!" but i think it is the cold start assist system..thanks..

 

It seldom gets referred to by its correct name, which is Sub-Zero Start Assist System. It doesn't even activate until the oil temp drops below 3degF.

 

Wasn't there a service anouncment that said it should be removed from all FC's? I remember hearing that.

now! how about Timing set up for S4 TII with street port ?? any idea..I think i'll try to retard it for a few degree..
but not many ppl talk about it and i can't seem to find any info..
