I am looking to buy a Turbo II soon


I know that the engines changed, but what changed with the body, and the lights, and interior and the rear view mirrors and what year did these changes occur. What year was the stock ground effects kit put on the car. I am looking to buy a turbo II and just want to know which years are the best looking.

 

the side trim (moulding) was the same color as the car, different rear lights, on the interior, different center console, they had automatic seatbelts (automatic seat squirrels=bad) and uhm, cant think of anything off the top of my head. I think they redid the looks a tiny bit but not positive. Someone else should be able to point out the other changes. Oh and same color mirrors

 

the 87-88 T2's generally didn't have any ad ons to the body. some came with the stock rear spoliers...some didn't.

the 89-91 T2's had differnet side molding (and matching body color molding) continuing around the nose (differnt nose as well). also, they all had side skirts and the factory wing. some had a lower front lip...other didn't. also, the mirrors are a little rounder than the 87-88's with a circular opening in the center. the 89-91's also have round tail lights where as the older FC's have more rectangular lights...

all 87-90 T2's said "TURBO II" behind the front tires...but in 91 they didn't have badging.
