what could this be?
When i accelerate in my 1987 mazda rx-7 it seems to like slow down and then speed up again and it idles wierd too (between 1000 and 1500 rpm) like when i want to really accelerate and go fast itll start goin and itll get to like 3000 or 4000 rpm and itll slowdown then speed up again, its notlike a cutout, it lasts longer than that, im thinkin i need new spark plugs or somthin, what do u allthink?

has it always idled like this? or just one day it started? usually that 1000-1500 idle would be caused from a bad or misadjusted TPS. your acceleration problems could also be caused from this.

where is the TPS? can someone describe it to me or show me a picture? also, how do you adjust this?

open your hood and look at the 13B INJECTION cast into the throttle body. look directly down in front of that and there should be a black cylinder about 3 inches long and .5 wide...with a smaller cylinder about an inch long sticking out of it. this retracts inside the other one. the device itself is on a small mounting plate and has a decent size white plug attached to it. i've seen tons of pics online of it...but don't remember the addresses...
