What rims are you planning to powder coat and what pieces are you thinking of painting in the interior.

This may help people decide

Good Luck!

oh they are the stock 87 gxl rims. i dont know how to describe them really other than a 5 point saw blade.

i wouldnt paint the interior if i did it in metal. i would make the pieces out of aluminum. i dont really know which parts would be painted if i used color. but the instrument surround, idiot surround, vent covers. i would get the steering wheel and the shift boot and **** to match in leather. i might paint the piece of plastic over the storage bins. or just make it out of metal.

write me suggestions if you have any

WHITE, BABY, WHITE! The bologne slicer rims really do not look good powder coated, but you can pick up some s5 vert rims for $200-$300 (BBS mesh) and those things look great white!

I'de hafta say since you're doin the car black, for the interior as you said the aluminum treatment. Or have u considered the carbon fiber "film"(kinda like contact paper),which u just have to "stick and trim"? As for the suspension and other assorted goodies you plan on coloring,I'de go with the yellow, it stands out more and can get a lil' dirtier than white before needing a bath. The rims,I gotta go with rico5 on this one,get urself some nice bbs, powder 'em black with the yellow lip.Do u have tinted windows?? If not 20% looks real good on them(not to dark, not to lite).

i think i am gonna go with metal or yellow on the suspension. not sure yet

yeah i can order window tint from a dealers book i "acquired" and i think i will do 5% on the rear hatch and 15 or 20 on the sides with a strip across the front the same as the sides.

i recently found a 3 foot "R" sticker tat i want to put on my hood and about 10 fog lights too, whatta ya think?????

LOL J/k

nah the reason i am painting my suspension is so i can tell the different parts apart easier without taking the wheel off. it also allows me t easily diagnose any problems by illuminating te wheel well. blue wouldnt help any.

the blue highlights are gonna be minimal

I find it very easy to see a problem with no coating period. JAck the car up and If there is a missing bolt, it is a SURE EYE SOARER!!! =)

Your prefrence. I am just recommending blue. Try white. White would look dope also. =)

Hehehe, I have the S5 maroon interior and I think that is about the swankest stuff going. It is even better when you drive a car that is beige that can belch fire and when you get inside it looks all nice and RED!!!! Ain't notin subtle about my car

I have a gold 86 base model with the ugly maroon interior. Eventually I will get all black, or blue (that's after i repaint it). The worst part about my interior is the area around the shifter... It's kinda brown/green. Anyone know how much all new carpet would cost?

thanks but the shipping on those would be like 100$ and i dont really need any rims. if i am gonna put out money for rims i will probably wait until i actually need them and then i will get lightweight racing rims.

thanks a lot though

Let us know what you have decided.

When do you think you will do these changes? I am interested to see how the rims turn out.

Good Luck! Kerry:0
