What to chrome? What to polish?

This winter I'm gonna be rebuilding the engine and I figure I might as well indulge myself with a 'bit o' bling'.
Have any of you had any of your underhood items chromed? Polished? I was thinking def the upper intake. You guys got any opinions, ideas, pics?

I had my UIM, LIM, TB, and BAC polished. Some say the engine bay temps get hotter because the surface area caused by all the dimples/crevices on the manifolds' rough surfaces help to dissipate heat are gone after polishing.

but id say the minor change in temp isnt enough to hurt anything.... i think the look of polished manifolds outweighs the rise in temp! ovbiously you agree!

You could always offset that with some wicked custom ribbs on the tops of the manifolds, and then polish that.

I had my UIM, LIM ceramic coated. Looks polished, but the coating actually is a heat barrier also. Getting my IC piping and a few other things powdercoated black.

What to chrome? Your glasses.

What to polish? Your intake runners (pre-injector assemblies) and port everything, too.

What he's saying is that it helps to lower it also, not rising.
