What chemicals/tools used to clean engines
As the tittle states I am looking to clean the inside and outside parts of this T2 engien I have
the external s of the irons and housings.. around the coolant ports etc on the irons/housings and what to use to clean the horrible amount of carbon on the rotors.
I was thinking like a brass wire wheel on the outside of the irons etc maybe on the rotors but I obviously dont want to put any scrapes or gouges in anything so I need to know what u guys normally use?
this is what I am trying to clean:

I think I will go outside and grab my brake cleaner and soak the rotors down then lol... I can use the brake cleaner on the irons and housings? and if I get it on the faces (chrome) it wont hurt it will it?

Go to your local auto store and see if they carry a product called "Chem dip". They should sell it by the gallon. I bought mine at the local Autozone. That stuff eats straight through the carbon and all you have to do is let it sit in the liquid.
Think i read somewhere to watch out with chemicals near your bearings on the rotor. I think you'll be fine as long as you don't just let the rotor sit whatever your using. Might be wrong. Just don't want you to screw your bearings.
