What can I use to clean the engine?

Im working on a 87 Mazda rx7 turbo,and its been sitting up for 4 years and the motor is very dirty.I just wanted to know what can I use to clean the motor?BTW the intake manifold and trottle body is off the car,so will it damage the engine if i clean it with engine brite and water?

Castrol Super Clean and a stiff brisle brush. Make SURE to block off the open parts of the engine, because you will need to rinse with a steady stream of LOTS of water. Don't keep Super Clean on the engine too long as it begins to pit the aluminium.

Just don't get Super Clean on painted surfaces. Tried to clean the wheelwells off on my Talon and it took the paint off, after turning it ORANGE!

Ok thanks,Can I clean the turbo with it too?I just need to cover the turbo opening right?
