2 is the cold start assist tank.... goes to a solenoid thingy on the back of the LIM.. you can ditch that, but you'll need to make a blockoff plate for the solenoid thingy

1 is the charcoal can... your fuel system vents to this... i'd leave it in there

the stuff on the shocktower the middle is the pressure sensor, you need that..... the others.... hmmm, i never bothered with that i just ripped it out when i did the haltech!!!!

I don't know what 3c is but it's totally melted to crap on my car, and the car runs fine, so i'd assume it's not very important.

3c is a variable resistor that I think helps control the air mix at idle, but I may be wrong on that one.

3b is your boost sensor,. I moved mine when I took the stock air box out.

Here's a pic. The FSM is your friend.

3c helps tune your idle, it helped me a lot.

Keep 3b and 3c, I have no idea what 3a is (I don't have one on my '86 n/a), ditch 2 and use the block off plate. 1 is optional, it vents the fumes from the gas tank, and from the crank case ventilation.

That's a soleniod for the automatic transmission if I am not mistaken. Leave the mixture sensor, pressure sensor and the charcoal can. Junk the rest.

I took out my charcoal canister, cold start assist was already gone when I got the car, took out the variable resistor removing it doesn't hurt anything, leave the other two.

don't think so... just capped the brass tube coming from the intake manifold to the resevoir and unbolted the resevoir.

Just out of curiosity... Exactly when is the cold start assist being used? Is it for "engine not warm", sub zero or somewhere in between?
