What is the best fuel cut out switch HELP
Hey guys I have a 87 TII that I put a custom exhaust on.
I have now been told by some smart guys here that I need a device that tells the ecu that the boost is not above 8.5... Racing Beat makes one along with Mazda Trix (ones that I have found) any one have an opinon on which one is better? It does worry me that the computer would not be giving the motor all the fuel it needs but its better than no fuel... Any one have any other ideas, or anything else that I will need to do.
Thanks in advance

Your looking at an FCD in other words (Fuel cut denfender) which defends the fuel cut that come on when boost hits 8.5psi.
Either or is fine imo. Although Racing Beat might be a bit more pricey do to the name.
As for fuel pick up a fuel controller like the Apex'i S-AFC which willallow you to tune the fuel flow to the engine so you don't run lean.
Is it a full exhaust? ie: down pipe, test pipe, exhaust piping, muffler? If it's 3" or over you should port the stock wastegate.

$10 says the mazdatrix one is the racing beat one...
anyways with the RB exhaust you have to be VERY carefull on boost creep. get a boost gauge in the car first. if it ever goes over 10. let off the gas. cause it propably will. if you leave the stock intake in you might be ok...
you will want a bigger fuel pump too in the near future.
