Number 1 most likely is the line running from your charcoal canister into the intake manifold, but I'm not sure.
Number 2 is a one way valve inline with the split air pipe running to your cat. If you do not have the split air pipe still then you would not have this either. It just prevents exhaust gases from flowing back into the ACV.

hmmm...
I guess I am slowly getting better at identifying that stuff, I was going to say that 2 was something to do with your Air pump to the catalytic converter or something.
Close =P
I had no idea what #1 was though =/

they got #2 right
but.. #1 is the backpressure thing that opens up your 6 ports.. Attach a hose to the metal piece right there and blow.. they should move.
damn..hm...i'm not sure where the other end of it goes, actuall, tho... hmm... it somehow connects to the exhaust....not sure how directly. but it IS the 6p actuation line.

The number one is for the auxillary port actuation. Its pressure from you exaust via the catalytic converter. The number two is a check valve in the split air pipe that goes to your catalytic converter. Keeps exaust gas from going into the manifold. Air flow from the acv thru the check valve to the catalytic converter. Emissions device.
