is this the OIL LEVEL SENSOR or the OIL THERMO UNIT

The other one is the oil lever sensor, and it appears that is indeed the oil temp sensor.

could be an electical sending unit for oil temp!!! thats what i would put my money on!

np, if you check the FAQ sticky you will find a factory service manual link somewhere that can be a lot of help in this kid of situation.

The circled item is the oil temp switch for the sub-zero start assist system. The other one is the oil level switch for the warning light and buzzer.
