What is this???

I am diagnosing bad idle on my TII and found this thing on the intake to the upper manifold. what is it and will it cause bad running.

pics of sensor??

yes thats a spork. its there for size reference.

That is the intake air temperature sensor, which screws in the throttle body cover. It sends a signal to the ECU that will determine fuel injection quantity, so it will affect how your car runs. I don't know how significant the effect is, but maybe you'll find out when you put it back in.

You may be able to dig away at the base of that broken terminal, and expose enough to solder it back on. I don't know how much a new one costs.
