I was just tryin to figure out what this silver box is underneath the air filter. I got my car running and as it smoked like hell/smelled like gas I heard this clicking noise. I shut of the car and followed the noise. Seemed to be coming from the silver box/cover from underneath the air filter

 

fuel resistor relay. It changes the fuel pump voltage between 9 adn 12v. It makes the pump last much longer than if it were constantly switching and running at 12v.
