The long hose is the outlet hose from the oil cooler. The outlet union is ON TOP of the cooler. The short hose is the ___________ hose and goes to the _________ of the oil cooler. Chapter 2 of the free, online, FSM.

Ther long one goes on the bottom. In the future please to two simple things to save us all time and effort: Take noet of how parts go on before you rip them off, and read the FSM!

Wellll. ....I chose to look in the 86FSM that I bought off E-Bay for pennies. That manual has a chapter 2 that deals with the Oil Cooler and oil system. Below you will find the jpg of what they show for the hose.

After reading NZ's comments, I took a look in my 87FSM that cost me big bucks from Mazdatrix. I attached the jpg out of that manual also. There seems to be a problem with the 86 FSM.

Now.....if you have two (2) hose, and someone tells you where one hose goes.....where did you think the other went????
.

Actually Hailers is one of the most knowledgeable, helpful and friendly people on this forum (way friendlier than me...), so calling him a dick is not only likely to offend him but it will also **** off many other regulars here, including me. Keep your immature flames to yourself if you expect to get any more help.

Actually....I had to heavily EDIT my answer. The part I removed would have gotten me thrown off this forum.

I believe sometimes the rx7 club has it's period and everyone gets a bit edgy so while it is the forums time of the month you need to just do a search Usually searching yeilds answers way sooner than posting and waiting for a responce.

Wait, wait...I want to solve this puzzle. Let's see...long is to short as outlet is to...inlet? And long is to short as ON TOP is to ON BOTTOM. The answer is:

The short hose is the inlet hose and goes to the ON BOTTOM of the oil cooler.

This is way easier than doing sinsusoidal-steady-state phasor analysis. Oh man did I get wrecked. At least I can look forward to going home and working on my 7.
