Ok those times make no sense your 1/4 mile time is higher than stock 1/4 and you have a **** load of mods. First thing is to make sure your car is running right, do a tune etc. Next thing is to practice launching, theres a lot of ways and the best ways are usually how well you feel youve launched, then apply that at the track and see what methods work out best. Just to give you an idea ppl on this forum with the same basic mods have run 13.8's to 14.o's as there best times thats what i would be aiming for. But like mentioned before its all in the launch to get those 60 foot times low. Oh and bro REDLINE!! that should help some.

I have my timing retarded a few degress so as it doesn't blow up also, lower your back tire pressure like 10 pounds below stock.

It seems to me like you dont know how to launch.
First of all, your launching at 3,500 RPM's, thats not going to help any. I would launch it myself anywhere between 5-6K, and come off the hole hard as hell !
And pump the gas just one time, to avoid to much tire spin. Also I defenitely recommend you use 93 Octane or else your motor is going to say BYE,BYE ! Especially if you were running 14 PSI "Unbelivable". Also take a little air out of the tires, that helps a bit. I personally recommend you use a little Sunoco or some other race fuel at the track if your running that kind of boost at the track, and also put a bag of Ice on top of the intercooler in between passes to cool it down abit. With ALMOST the same MODS you got I ran a 13.8 @ 103MPH on the second pass. I tried both sides of the track to see which side is hooking better. Also "PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT". I'ts a talent like anything else you have to practice, and I know some people that are just better PILOTS than others at squeezing out time slips. It's in the blood.

you should be passing the traps in 4th gear - just keep it floored through the traps, letting off will scrub time!! you won't have enough room to wind out 4th but yuo should shift 1-2nd at 7000, 2nd-3rd at 7000 and 3rd-4th at 7000. REDLINE every gear you can!! and DO NOT launch at 6500 rpm like someone mentioned, you'll end up with lots of wheelspin and blow the launch. I say just go with a street start or a max 2000 rpm launch since you sound like a beginner...get some times and hone your technique from there as you learn how to drive the car. enjoy!!!!!

well I know my launched sucked, just look at my 60 foot times. I think part of my problem was I am shifting too early, I was shifting around 5k. My defi boost gauge is on it's way, I just don't trust the autometer. Also with the current boost im running(according to the autometer) and the octane(87) I'm not getting any pinging, weird huh? My understanding is that the rotaries don't have very high compression anyways. And like I said before, nowhere in the owerns manual does it say to run high octane. I know that on high comp. piston engines you need to run high octane to avoid detonation.

87 octane, you won't have an engine for long with what you're running. I won't run 87 and I only run 5.5 lbs

I'd run that tank low and fill with 94 (if u have it in your area, sunoco baby!!) you should be able to fill the car w/ race gas at the track - the car will run REALLY well under WOT but you might foul the O2 sensor bc of all the lead in the gas. When we run our Z at the track we go to a small commercial airport that is pretty local and get JET FUEL Jet fuel + L series straight 6 + T4 = FAAAAAST
