weired problem with code 10. help!!!

hi, guys, recently, I encountered this strange problem with my 91TII. so, here is the story: one day, I noticed that my engine light came on while cruising on highway. so, I decoded it once I got home. that is 10, which means the intake themo on AFM has problem. so, I changed with a good working AFM. I checked all resistances before i put it into the car. first, it seems that problem gone for a while, and then I start seeing the engine light on again with code 10. AFM again? I took it out and checked. nothing wrong with it! and when I drive on local, like less than 60 mph, no light will come on, no matter how long I drive it. soon, as I get on highway for about 3 or 4 exits, the damn light is back again.

according to the rx7 "bible", the step to fix the code 10 are:
1)AFM connector(change it if bad)
2)AFM resistences(change it if not right)
3)connectivities with ecu through the harness(change harness if no signal)

basically, I have done 1) and 2), I am going to do 3), but I really hope that i don't have to change the ecu or harness.

any advice? guys

thanks

damn, i dunno man...seems like you were on the right track. the only experience i've had with a check engine light is a bad TPS, and need of a new O2 sensor. so code 10 is the only one you get right? any other noticeable quirks with the car? (acceleration, hesitation)...sorry i can't be of more help...i'm sure someone on here knows...RETed perhaps...good luck man

thanks for the reply, erik.
Just checked the connectivites of wiring harness, I guess they are ok, according to the book. and TPS was checked by a guy who knows about rx7, he said that is ok. but he couldn't figure out this one.
I hope that I didn't get the code misread. 10 is a long pause, and nothing else, right? 1 is a quicker flash.

one thing is the car runs at 1000 rpm, otherwise, it will have problem with cold start in winter. that was the seting for winter. but, it should start right away in summer.

anyone else has suggestion?
