weird vibration

Hey guys 'm wondering if any of you know what the cause of the problem is.

A while back my engine would start to vibrate whenever I try to past like 3000 RPM. even at idle there is still a slight vibration, but it gets worse as the RPM's climb. I took it to mazda and the guy told me that it was internal. I also took it to the local RX guru here and he thought it was the chrome striping off the housings. So since my engine was under warranty I sent it back to RX specialties. They took it apart and checked everything and it was fine. While my engine was out my mech looked at the motor mounts and took a look at the tranny mount and said that they were okay and that they shouldn't be the cause of the problem. Also he checked to make sure that the flywheel had the correct counter weight which it did, and I also had the fw resurfaced just as an additional step. Its come to the conclusion that its somewhere on the drive line that is the cause for all the vibration, the only thing left would be waterpump, not the fan cause I replaced it, and my mech might be thinking it could be clutch. I have the center force dual friction clutch, the ones with the those weird little weights on it, do you think it could be that?? Just wondering cause this problem is really annoying. If anyone had similar problems please let me know what you did to fix it.

thanks.

You did use the correct front counter weight when you put in the S5 rotors, right?

You should be able to isolate the clutch:
With the car stopped, clutch disengaged & tranny in gear, rev it to the vibration speed while the clutch disc is held still by the tranny.

I think the front counter weight is the right one since the car was working fine until one day the vibrations just started. Either way the rx guy was sure the counter weights were okay. with Sureshots recommendations I tried keeping the car in gear and engaging the clutch and the problem was still there so, but we aren't entirely sure that it is the clutch as the problem. But I think it might be worth while to take it out put back a factory clutch and see if the problem persists. As for the U joint, I might be taking the car to a place that has hoists and maybe running the car to see if anyone thing might be rubing or making the vibrations.

thanks for the tips and keep them comming.
