Exclamation Weird Transmission noise

Hopefully some of you guys have an idea. Just rectently my transmission began to make a weird sweeky/whistleing noise on deceleration. When I put the clutch in the noise will stop. Let the clutch out the noise continues. I am thinking possible throw out bearing and if so I mine as wellrebuild the tranny while I have got it out. Any ideas are welcomed.

Sound like it may be the input shaft bearing. If it was a throwout bearing, you would hear the noise while you are pushing on the clutch pedal and not when it's released.

My tranny makes noise all the time, but anytime the clutch is let out it is worse. Though my tranny also has 235k miles on it.

I am pretty sure i will just need to get a new tranny pretty soon if i keep the car.

sounds like the output shaft bearing, if it was the input shaft the noise would stop when the clutch was put in
