Question weird shifting in my car, anyone else have this?

when redlining my car up thru the gears, i try and shift from 2 to 3 diagonally, like in any other car, but my car doesnt go in, when i put it to 3rd it gets stuck in this odd position between 3rd and 5th, and it acts as if it was in nuetral, 3rd gear doesnt grind, it goes in fine at lower RPMs, anyone know what this could be?

perhaps your shifter bushings are shot and it's popping out of place? Does your shifter feel wobbly or loose at all?

It is possible the shift rod (that is under the shift lever) has a worn out tip. Sometimes this link dosen't get lubed. Look in the Haynes or FSM. It's like a chinese puzzle to change it. I'd start with the lever bushing, an put some synthetic gear oil in there at the same time..
