Angry weird overheating!!!

i have an 87 na and it has been overheated alot. i still have good compression, and there is no white smoke coming out of the tail pipe. i have pressure tested the system and it will hold 11-13 psi. when i pressured to system i seen water from the weep hole and changed out the water pump for a used one i had. the used pump will drip a little out of ther weep hole. the car is running on water and when i fill it up and bleed it well the car can go for a trip across town and not overheat.

you really shouldn't use just water for your cooling system, it will rust out your waterpump or radiator and you'll end up with cooling problems again. try this, with the engine cold , let the car idle with the radiator cap off, if you see bubbles it could be a bad water seal- how much are you leaking ?

Explain this a bit more: "...it has been overheated alot."

The cooling system should hold 15psi for at least 10 seconds. If you replace the water pump with a good unit and it can't hold that pressure, you probably have a leak--internal or otherwise.
