weird new engine running problem.

Well My car once running will idleat 1k rpm right now.

I have set the timing perfectly.

Now this is where it gets weird.

I will give it some throttle to about 2k and it's fine.
I get to about 3k and I hear a PSHEWWWWWwwwwww................

The noise isn't wicked loud. But I could hear it from inside my car.

Could this be my BOV set too low? I haven't adjusted it yet since I haven't even been able to move the car more than 10ft. It's a Apex BOV.

I can't remember if it happened on off throttle or while still applying it.

I did tap the gas slowly trying to increase it back up before it droppped the RPMS too low.
It struggled for a seconds then gave up and dropped off.

Any thoughts?

boink.
I'm going to mes with timgin a bit since Jrat pointed out it has to be under 1k or the ECU starts modding the timing.

Anyways.

Anyone think if a reason other than a loosely set BOV?

Does the BOV return pressure to the intake or blow it off into the atmosphere?

It's an Apex BOV so it's open atmo.

It was set in the position I got it out of the box.
I would get to about 3k RPM and it just opens. I guess the vacuum was the right amount.

I tightened it down for now and drive it around for a second before the battery crapped out.
