weird idle question

hey everyone ive just finally put my car all back together and ive got it running. its a 87 rebuilt and streetported t2 swapped into a convertible chassis. ive got the car running and it will hold a pretty solid idle at the reccomended 1000-1500 rpms for break in procedures. Im pretty sure the timing is almost spot on new belts and i know the tps sweeps smoothly. I tried to adjust the tps down to 1.00 ohlms and the screw wont adjust it. the idle problem is with the streetport i will get 5 or 6 braps and then a coulple misses and back to brap brap and it cycles. I have all brand new stock injectors andstock ecu im stuck. any help would help greatly thank you

You have a street port dude. Your ECU is freaking the F out. Tuning is your best option. I'm in the same boat. Just gotta save.

it has nothing to do with the ecu i found out its the timing and street port isn't enough to really throw the computer off. the street port is supposed to sound like a regular idle with a bit of a stutter every couple seconds. the only thing that the ecu isn't compensating for is the excess exhaust gasses that are now in the engine because of the larger intake ports thus less horsepower. tuning will be able to correct that and in the end make more horsepower, better idle quality and smoother idle. i plan this winter to swap in power fc, tdo6sh and 1600cc injectors. if anybody has any recommendations for a tubular manifold that would help and also if anybody has a tdo6sh that needs a rebuild and is looking to sell let me know. i would go gt35r but its not rebuildable because it is ball bearing.
