weird hesitaion problem....please read

Ok guys I am a little paranoid about this. I keep saying to myself if the engine has blown something it wouldn't run stong 95% of the time.

Well here's the brake down. I get off the highway and come to a light. Run through first and second doing about 5k at the most. I hit third and all of the sudden the car starts to bog down. I put it in neutral and pull over to the side. Rev the engine up and it seems fine. I Then turn off the car and turn it back on. So I leave hit first and **** to second around 3k rpm.....bam it bogs. I put it in neutral and give it gas....same thing its bogging and then dies. Then it stops and drives fine.

This has happened all day....but very randomly. I thought....hrmm maybe a vac leak or even the Jacobs Rotary pack coming loose. All hoses look good and I clean my battery terminal and reconnect the jacobs...it looked a little loose. I then take the car out and test everything. 20 minutes of driving and everything is fine. I got on it a few times with no problems. Car has no loss of power whatso ever. So I am thinking everything is fine and bam it does it again after I get on it in 2nd gear.

I go home and notice that the battery seems a little loose after reconnecting the battery. Fix that and drive around for 30 mins and it dosen't do it again. I got on it to redline in 1st and 2nd and it seemed fine.

So I am paranoid as hell that something is going on. The engine sounds and run's fine...but I am afraid this is gunna happen again. The only thing that has changed since yesterday and all the other days that its gotten a little colder outside. Its about 30 degree's outside.

So what would you guys suggest I check out? A few friends said it sounds like fuel problems. Its not the 3500 problem because it does it at random times at random rpm's. Think the Jacobs maybe the problem?

Merry Christmas Same Problem as Me, You need a rebuild!

Just kidding. BUy yourself a multimeter and check your TPS (Throttle Positioning Sensor) It probably need to be replaced. Same thing happened to me (PISSED ME OFF) Take the multimeter and plug the probes into the male end connectors running from the TPS, on the multimeter (Do this while car is wamred up) at idle you should be at .95 volts. If the car goes over 6k ohms (at redline) you will need a new Sensor (or adjust) - Adjust the TPS with a screwdriver ontop the place where you push down to rev engine (ontop of spring) in the engine bay. Make the idle .95 volts and it should all be good!

Good luck, Merry Christmas
