Weird Clutch Problem!!!!!!

First of all, I'm talking about my 1989 GTU with 5-speed tranny, 144k miles on them. I just replaced my clutch with new OEM clutch, but the engagement point of the new clutch is still at the very near the top of the clutch pedal.

Also the reason why I replaced my clutch in the first place is that the tranny was making a noise when I released my clutch pedal thinking that it's throw-out bearings. But it's still making the same noise.

Also after getting the new clutch, my clutch pedal sometimes get caught to the near bottom. I checked the floor mats and it's not it because I don't have any AND the engagement point changes to the very bottom of the clutch.

What could be wrong? I just bought a rebuilt tranny from Fastassturbo2. Any suggestions?

I don't know about the noise. The engagement could be either the free play adjustment or the clutch pedal height adjustment. Both adjustments located under the dash on the master cylinder. Also....make sure you are not leaking any clutch fluid...sounds like there could be air in the lines. I just put in a new OEM clutch along with everything else clutch related and my engages very high from the floor. It has started to slip with only 2000 VERY easy miles on it. I've adjusted everything and bled the system but it still does it. I'm screwed....i'm going to have to pull the tranny again and replace the pressure plate (I think it's just defective).

I just put a RAM powergrip clutch and pressure plate in my TII and My pedal was sticking to the floor but after I bleed the clutch it works fine now well almost it feels kinda gritty sometimes and the gears are getting hard to change. I know I am not low on fluid because I checked that I guess that is just the nature of the beast. It still shifts fine just takes more effort to get it to the next gear.

I will end by saying RAM powergrip clutches suck!!!
