Weird clicking sound comming from downpipe

I started up my motor after like 6 months of sitting, replaced the turbo with another used one (s5) and changed the water pump. Now aside from the damn smoking (another issue alltogether) im getting a wierd clicking sound comming from underneath my car.
When i listen closley im hearing it comming from the downpipe. When i rev it i can hear it more or when i pulse the throttle. Its almost like an exaust leak or valvetrain noise youd hear in a piston engine. Its really wierd.
The downpipe is in prestine condition and i cant smell exaust or feel any leaks of exaust in that area.
Any clue what this is guys?

I had that exact same sound from my header when one of the nuts went missing. Sounds to me like you've got an exhaust leak.

I suppose it's a possibility but what you described is exactly what I experienced. The "ticking" was caused by exhaust gas escaping in between the block and gasket and varied with different accelerator positions. The rate of the tick was persistent with the throttle, more throttle = faster ticks, etc.

That's only what I experience and it's my guess for your situation but like I said, it's a possiblity that it's something else.
