hey guys im about to install a cd player in my fc... anyways i noticed this black 8 gauge or so cable coming all the way from behind my sterring wheel to my dash... I have no clue where it comes from or to... also i have another wire just like it coming from my passsenger side panel next to ecu... thw weird thing is that when i connect the both together it feels liek im creatins a short.. since last time i did this smoke started coming out from inside my instrument panels... I have no clue where thsi two wires go... can u guys help me out ? or do u need some pictures if so is kinda hard for em sinc ei dont have a camera.

 

You know, you'd think that you would at least read the wires for voltage before you short them together, lol...

Only big wiring I know of in the dash areas would be the main ignition wire (which is black) and the blower wiring, but since I've never had to rip the dash apart, I'm not exactly an expert at this "guess the wire" game
