Week long ATF Treatment
I wont be driving my car for a week during christmas, so I figured it would be a good time to do the Atf thing. My question is can I completely fill the engine with atf, because I wont be around to bump the starter and make sure everything is covered? I read somewhere about someone doing this but cant remember the details. If I fill the engine up with atf will all the internal surfaces get clean? I realize that I would have to drain the atf out somehow, how would I do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hmmm...sounds like a plan. The longest I've ever heard of anyone doing it was for two days. I don't think that you're supposed to put TOO much in. But then again, what do I know. If you do do it, let me know how it turned out. Thanks alot. BTW, the description of your car....mine is the same, just red....lol

You know what works awsome for cleaning carbon? Castrol Superclean. I don't know if I 'd use it the same way as atf, but when I rebuild engines I found it works beter than solvent for cleaning off the carbon.
Again, I don't think I'd recammend it for use while the engine is together but your more than welcome to try.
