Waterpump problem continues
Well I've replaced my waterpump many times. Everytime I had to replace it, there was coolant leaking through the weep hole. I had many friends check everything for me, like belts, bolt tensions, and gasket seals, just to double check everything incase I might have missed something and everything was fine.
Today after pulling off the pulleys I checked each one with a level and they seem to be alright. I still have yet to put in my underdrive pulley, so hopefully my underdrive pulley will prevent the waterpump from going bad.
If anyone has any suggestions as to what I should check or maybe some sort of precaution I should take.
Thanks,
Vance

Just curious...How many times have you replaced it. New, used, rebuilt??? Do you still have all accessories installed, or have they been removed?
Naturally seal is gone because of bearing wear.

Are you sure that its coming from the weep hole? Did you look with a mirror, or are you assuming its from there just because the front of the engine or oil pan are wet? If its the second one, it probably isn't the water pump. When you take all the bolts off the waterpump, there isnt anything holding the waterpump housing to the front of the engine, so it's real easy to crack that seal.

I fixed the leak from the inside with Bondo Marine Epoxy putty stick.
RTV is great for sealing gasket surfaces.
The water pump should last ~100000mi, but sometimes the reman shop will put out some bad ones.
That's what the warranty is for..
